China Opens Investigation on US Sorghum
Could result in steep tariffs on sorghum
The New York Times’ Sui-lee Wee reported on a Chinese anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigation on U.S. sorghum. The investigation may be in response to a tariff the United States recently placed on solar panels and washing machines. The Chinese government is claiming that sorghum producers may have received subsidies from the U.S. government and may lead to steep tariffs on sorghum, depending on the findings.
